Gyaru Manga review ~Kechonpa~

Today I wanna introduce you to a manga series that I found accidentally while searching for gyaru photos on the internet.

 It’s called Kechonpa. And it’s about Gals ^o^. The mangaka is Hijiri Chiaki and it was published since 2010 in Japan. The story is completed in 3 volumes.

But as I found out the author had to finish the series because the magazine that had been carrying the serial folded.

The target group is NOT that young and childish as it is for other gyaru themed Mangas like GALS!

The main characters are about 20 years old and even the style of drawing is not that girly/shoujo manga like and seems more rough and mature but cute at the same time.

For me the story is not that spectacular and even reminds me of GALS! With that police/detective/helpers story it’s kind of a mature version of GALS!... not really but it seems like.
Nevertheless the manga is worth a view!

Story:

Ririko, a stylish Charisma Gal from Shibuya, finds herself playing amateur detective after an unexpected turn of events. She is keen to solve cases to prove herself worthy of her “fiancé” Nii. That man is an elite police detective and they know each other since their childhood and youth.
The most complicated fact is that Nii has no clue Ririko is a Gal. So she has to switch between edgy gyaru and good Japanese girl when it comes to the worst!

 The main story is focused on Ririko and her gyaru friends. They have to deal with stalking, blackmailing and of course the prejudices against Gals!

The mangas are definitely NOT published in German and I doubt they are in English… but I’m not sure… you don’t find that much information about the series.

 So far it’s just 7 Chapters online… but I read somewhere that the next chapters will be uploaded in 4 month…??? What a long time to wait…. But ok ^^

Meeting friends last Saturday

Actually I thought I had nothing to do on weekend and nowbody had time... wrong ^^°
Fuyu came to Berlin in the evening for a party and asked me to see each other.
I definitely did not want to attend the party... but meeting Fuyu is always nice ^^.

So I thought I have a loooot of time until the evening when we should meet.
But next morning suddenly Kiki asked to meet for a coffee.
~haha~ so I was on the road the complete day ^o^ It was super nice to have plans for the day instead of lazing around at home. ^^

At 6pm I met Fuyu and her friend Leif at the Alexanderplatz.
We went to shopping center Alexa.

I found a simple cross necklace, I was searching for and a pair of cross earrings with studs and a pair of giant hair clasps.

At H&M I tried that jacket with leather arms. Super cool design!

And we had a little photo shooting in the changing room~ haha ~ suuuuper funny, but unfortunately Fuyu has nearly all the photos on her camera^^°

At Tally Weijl I bought some other hair clasps (6 pieces for 99cent ^^°) and a super cool chain belt.

I always need these for selfmade hair bows and stuff.

We had a lot of fun ^^ Especially when a woman/girl came towards us and asked for sales strategies for a cookbook!...o.O what??? no ideas...~ haha

At Mister*Lady I found jeans with a similar print and colour as Co&Lu sells at the moment. But the ones at Mister*Lady were skinny and not baggy.....

If they had been baggy, I would have bought them! But I don't need another skinny one!

Fuyu and Leif still had some time before the party would start, so we spend the rest of the evening at McDonalds.
We were chatting a whole lot! And I ate something there o.O! Actually I don't like McDonalds so much ^^°... But I was hungry!

At about midnight I came back home and was hella happy that I did not go partying because I got a big headache -.-°
But it was a super nice day <3 thank you girls (^v^)

Outfits and random stuff

Today my second Japanese course (evening classes) will start.... I hope I did not forget everything in the 2 month without course... let's see XD

Today I wanna show you the last outfits I wore at university.
Nothing special but here are the coords that I really liked!

Lately I use those wide scrunchies/ hair ties very often ^^
So I decided to sew some more to have more variety in colour and style!

Buying fabrics for cosplay

Hello everybody ^o^

On the first day of my semesterbreak I went to the Turkish market on the Maibachufer to buy textiles for the cosplays I will sew for the upcoming book fair Leipzig! 

So I put on my lovely makeup (wow~ what an occasion for lashes and stuff~ haha^^°)
...

I used the seperate single lower lashes again which I have not used for a long time.

My outfit:

Here you can see the market from a distance. The weather is still so cloudy, grey and cold... luckily I had no rain and no snow.....
